Good news for medical and dental students in Punjab! The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has officially opened admissions for MBBS and BDS programs in government sector colleges for the 2024-25 session. Applications will follow the Punjab Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) guidelines.
As per the Punjab Government’s Admission Policy 2024-25, all medical and dental college admissions in Punjab will exclusively be managed by UHS Lahore. Private colleges, even those affiliated with other universities, cannot independently process admissions. Only students applying through UHS will secure enrollment in their chosen programs. MBBS and BDS Admissions 2025 Punjab Medical Colleges Now open
Admissions to public sector medical colleges in Punjab will start on January 6, 2025, as announced by UHS. MBBS applications can be submitted online from January 6 to January 15, with the first merit list displayed on January 23. BDS applications will be accepted from February 3 to February 11, and the first merit list will be published on February 20, 2025. Students should apply within the given dates.

Eligibility Criteria for MBBS & BDSÂ Admissions
- MDCAT 2024: Minimum 55% (110/200) for MBBS and 50% (100/200) for BDS.
- Alternative Tests (SAT-II, MCAT, UCAT): Foreign candidates must meet minimum score requirements.
- MDCAT 2023 Results: Accepted; better score from 2023 or 2024 can be used if both are attempted.
Educational Background:
- HSSC Pre-Medical Group or Equivalent: Minimum 60% marks in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics/Mathematics.
- IBCC Equivalence Certificate: Required for foreign qualifications.
Domicile:
- A valid domicile from any district in Punjab is mandatory.
Quota Seats:
- Additional documents and eligibility requirements are needed for applicants under quota seats as per UHS guidelines.
